Meet Hayden Stagg, played (with much hype and anticipation) by Stephen Graham.
Arthur Shelby (played by Paul Anderson) journeys north to Liverpool with Isiah (played by Daryl McCormack) and an impressive amount of muscle in tow to visit a union powerbroker named Hayden Stagg.
Tommy’s opium, which is stored in one of the dock warehouses, is being pilfered (first cupfuls, now bucketfuls) and Stagg is the man organizing its sale.
Before they enter the warehouse, Arthur gives his soldiers a pep talk to ready them for battle. Referencing their immaculate attire, he exclaims that “any fucking man who looks like this before, the Peaky Blinder still looks like this after!”
