YOU MUST WATCH THIS CLIP FROM THE IMMORTAL MAN, BECAUSE IT’S BY ORDERS OF THE PEAKY BLINDERS

Netflix has just dropped a tantalizing sneak peek for its highly anticipated cinematic continuation of the Shelby family saga, “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.” The newly released clip, aptly titled “Meet Duke Shelby,” offers fans their first substantial look at Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan stepping into the gritty, razor-lined world of Birmingham’s most notorious gang. Taking over the role of Tommy Shelby’s illegitimate son from Conrad Khan, Keoghan brings his signature live-wire intensity to an older, more hardened Duke. With Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) living in a self-imposed, haunted exile, the teaser makes one thing abundantly clear: Duke Shelby is no longer just the heir apparent; he is the new undisputed king of the Peaky Blinders.

The recasting makes perfect sense given the film’s significant time jump to 1940, plunging the Shelbys right into the chaotic early days of World War II. While Tommy Shelby is isolated and writing his memoirs far from the city, Duke Shelby has remade the gang in his own ruthless image, capitalizing on the war-torn economy as a violent profiteer. The sneak peek highlights the simmering tension between the old guard and the new, setting the stage for a dramatic father-son collision. Keoghan’s portrayal promises a scuzzy, nihilistic edge that perfectly mirrors Tommy Shelby‘s earlier days, yet carries a volatile unpredictability that is entirely his own.

As bombs rain down on Birmingham, Duke Shelby‘s violent ambitions are about to be tested by a massive, high-stakes conspiracy. The film will pit the new Peaky Blinders leader against John Beckett (played by Tim Roth), a treacherous Nazi operative looking to use the gang to flood Britain with counterfeit cash and crash the economy. With the future of both the Shelby legacy and the country hanging in the balance, “The Immortal Man” forces Tommy Shelby out of the shadows to confront the monster his son might be becoming. The ultimate battle for the soul of the Peaky Blinders unfolds when the film officially hits Netflix on March 20.
