Today is the big day, as THQ has released WWE ’13, the most eagerly anticipated video game in recent memory. Of course, the big selling points this year are the return of The Attitude Era legends, and the fact our very own Hustler De Tuti Hustlers Paul Heyman wrote the WWE Universe Mode interactive options for the game.

THQ released the long-awaited WWE ’13 videogame for all gaming platforms today.
The game, which has received incredible reviews, features Paul Heyman’s writing on the WWE Universe storyline mode. It will be the first time Heyman has written anything creative for the wrestling world since departing WWE in 2006. Heyman was hired by THQ to do the writing and kept it very quiet, assuming that WWE would kill his involvement, only to learn later that WWE was aware and had approved it. The scripting process actually went down well before Heyman returned to WWE as a performer.
Replacing the WWE “Road to Wrestlemania” storyline mode will instead feature the following storylines as part of their Attitude era mode:
*Rise of DX
*Austin 3:16
*The Brothers of Destruction
*The Great One
*Mankind
*WrestleMania XV
The storylines, which will bring players through 65 matches, are based on WWE storylines from that era but will allow for changes based on how players proceed in the game. The game will feature the King of The Ring, a number of stipulation matches and more.
