After triumphing over a battered Brock Lesnar at WWE Backlash, Cody Rhodes has encountered a string of hardships inflicted by “The Beast.” This trend continued on Monday night during WWE Monday Night RAW, as Lesnar unleashed a brutal assault on Rhodes not once, but twice, leaving Rhodes to enter Saturday’s Night of Champions rematch with an injured arm.
The initial attack took place as Rhodes arrived at the arena, with Lesnar targeting and damaging Rhodes’ arm. Later in the evening, as Rhodes attempted to confront Lesnar, he found himself trapped in a kimura hold, further exacerbating the damage to his limb. Throughout the remainder of the show, WWE announcers speculated on Rhodes’ availability for the upcoming pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia. The Heyman Hustle‘s Kimberlasskick was in attendance for the final WWE Monday Night RAW before Night of Champions to provide exclusive 360 coverage.
