Tyson Fury refused to look at Oleksandr Usyk as the two were brought together on stage in advance of their epic showdown this weekend in Saudi Arabia. The long staredown wasn’t a staredown at all, as everyone (including and especially Usyk) was waiting for The Gypsy King to turn towards Usyk, but that moment never materialized. Instead, as Hearts of Fire from the Rocky IV soundtrack played on the speaks throughout the arena, Fury smiled,flexed, moved around, took off his hat, and did practically everything but the one thing everyone was waiting for: look at Usyk!
Commenting on the “non-staredown” staredown, Tyson Fury offered, “he’s a scary-looking dude!”
